Bristol Concert Wind Band held another very successful Soiree on the evening of the 12th March. The event, which has been held for many years, is an opportunity for members of all bands and groups in the BCWB family to organise and perform in smaller ensembles, as well as socialise over drinks and an American supper.
Members were treated to an eclectic mix of groups and musical genres including performances from clarinet and saxophone ensembles, a cross-band brass group, recorder duet and an unusual mixed group of flute, horn, euphonium and saxophone, aptly named "sounds unlikely!"
Fancy joining in next year? We are still on the lookout for brass, percussion, double-reed and string bass players in all of our bands, and our beginner course will be starting a new year in September 2016.
