Every year all the bands in the BCWB family come together for a Christmas Fundraiser Concert and Social in aid of a local charity as nominated and voted for by members. This year's event, being held on Saturday 9th December, will be raising money for Great Western Air Ambulance.
Founded in 2008, GWAAC are a charity funded Air Ambulance service who are ready to save the lives of local people in our community.
They provide life saving emergency care to people who cannot be reached by road, or are in a state so critical that they require the specialist skills of their team at the scene of the accident.
Though they are part of the regional 999 response service and work closely with NHS hospitals, they are a charity entirely funded by local people. The service they provide is reliant on a brilliant team of pilots, paramedics and doctors who specialise in pre-hospital care and trauma medicine. Many of this highly skilled team are volunteers who give up their precious time to help save people in their local community.
As always, tickets for our Christmas Concert are very limited due to the number of members we now have! Tickets for non-member guests are £7 and available to buy in advance through members only. As well as performances from all bands there will be a raffle, tombola and sweet treats available all evening. Speak to a player now to get hold of tickets!
